The minister for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Senator Bala Mohammed, has decorated his ADC, Hassan Idris, and Escort Commander, Umar Sani, with their new ranks of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) and Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), respectively. While the FCT Police Commissioner, Mbu Joseph Mbu assisted the minister with the decoration of his ADC, the FCT minister of State, Oloye Olajumoke Akinjide and a Deputy Police Commissioner, Wilson Inalegwu, decorated the minister’s Escort Commander, at a brief ceremony, in Abuja. Speaking at the occasion, Mohammed, who congratulated the two police officers for their well-deserved promotions, said it calls for greater commitment, dedication and patriotism to the nation.
He thus, enjoined them to continue to give in their best to justify these elevations. Their decorations of the ADC and the Escort Commander, who were hitherto Assistant Superintendent of Police and Inspector of Police respectively, followed their promotion by the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar. Our correspondent reports that he FCT Permanent Secretary, Engr. John O. Chukwu and some officials of the FCT Administration witnessed the ceremonial decorations.
