The Bauchi state Market Women Association has pledged to support President Goodluck Jonathan ahead of his presidential ambition come 2015.
Presidment of the association, Maryam Gazo, who made the statement while briefing journalists in Bauchi said Jonathan deserves second term.
According to the Association, this followed the giant strides made by the ruling party towards the yearnings and aspiration of Nigerians.
Gazo added that the association is satisfied with the administration of Jonathan in line with the implementation of transformation agenda when it was initiated to provide ample opportunities to the masses.
The association appealed to Jonathan to allow women to enjoy the agricultural loan disburse through the Central Bank of Nigeria for self empowerment and to improve agricultural production in the country.
She also urged the government not to relent in its efforts to continue to carry women along through the 35 per cent affirmative action.
She added that already plans have reached an advance stage as the association will soon mobilize women in the 20 local government areas of the state to stage a peaceful rally in the state in support of Jonathan.
The association slammed’s critics cautioning them to toe a path of honour and support him for a second term.
She maintained that the recent North-east presidential unity rally in Bauchi justified the strength of the PDP to win elections come 2015 with a charge on women to vote the ruling party.
