Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo has assured Nigerians of quality leadership if given the mandate as President in 2023 elections.
Osinbajo made this known on Monday when he paid homage to the Emir of Gombe Alhaji Abubakar Shehu Abubakar in his palace.
He said his visit to the state was to meet with delegates for a discussion on some of the policies within the party.
“I appreciated President Muhammadu Buhari for his kind gesture which I have been with him for 7 years before declaring my intention to run for the office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2023.
“President Buhari has given me a chance as acting President in so many occasions which I served credibly if iam given the mandate to serve as Nigeria President I will continue where I stopped as acting President”, he said.
Also speaking, Gombe state governor Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya said the visit of the Vice-President to the state was a unique one where citizens of the state came out in their numbers to welcome him.
