All is now set for the opening, today, of the 2nd Peoples Media Conference to dissect the all important subject of the 2015 general elections just around the corner.
Dignitaries to open the event holding at the Ladi Kwali Hall of the Abuja Sheraton Hotel and Towers at 9.30 am prompt include former Head of State, Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi and Information Minister, Labaran Maku among others.
State governors, members of the National Assembly and key personalities in the state and the federal levels have already given words for attendance.
In view of the primacy of the 2015 general elections billed to hold in February, 2015, and the emerging vibrancy of the political space on account of the teeming opposition, Peoples Media brings forward the conference to debate the topic, “Nigeria: The 2015 Question”.
2015 is indeed very critical to the socio-economic and political future of Nigeria, hence the need for the political leadership, policy makers, captains of industry, the media and indeed the general public to play active roles in evolving a roadmap for a sustainable and prosperous Nigeria after 2015.
All guests are expected to be seated at 9.40 am while the occasion opens with a welcome remark by the Chairman of the Peoples Media Limited, Malam Wada Maida. There will follow an opening remark by the Chairman of the occasion, Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar, and a remark by the special guest of honour, Speaker Aminu Waziri Tambuwal.
