AEPB has expressed commitment towards sustainable clean city sanitation in the Federal Capital Territory; and therefore called on stakeholders to play a vital role in ensuring clean environment.
The call was made yesterday by the Acting Director of AEPB Mrs. Aishat Adeboye, during the quarterly residents, s sanitation forum, she said AEPB opens her door to the public every quarter for a meeting like this.
She added that some residents and business premises are doing well, especially in the area of taking care of their immediate environment through positive and environment friendly attitudes. She said a lot of households and commercial premises do not have waste receptacles, in some cases the available ones are not adequate leading to spill over, which contributes to enormous health hazard and danger to the environment, dumping refuse on bare ground is a sign of carelessness and ignorance. Police the environment it ours .she stated.
Adeboye emphasised that each household is required to have a 240litre capacity waste bin, plazas, shopping centres and other high traffic commercial facilities.
