The Code of Conduct Tribunal in Taraba State has convicted a serving Accountant General of the state Mr Joel J. Lenubang for allegedly refusing to declare his assets as a public officer, according to the Act establishing the Code of Conduct Bureau Tribunal (CCB T) as enshrined in the 1999 constitution, as amended.
A statement by Ibraheem Al-hassan, Head, Press and Public Relations, Code of Conduct Tribunal said Mr Lenubang who was charged along with others for the same offence yesterday, reacted to the allegation through his Counsel, Barr. Kolawole Olowookere, the Barrister filed a notice of preliminary objection against the charge, arguing that the procedure for filling matters before the Tribunal was not complied with.
The Tribunal under the Chairmanship of Justice Danladi Umar Yakubu along with two other Members, Justice Agwadza William Atedze and Justice Robert Isaac Odu (RTD) , ordered that written addresses be filed and served for argument and adjourned to the 10th of April 2014
