All Progressives Congress (APC), Bauchi state chapter, is set to hold its Ward Congress tomorrow (Wednesday) in order to meet the criteria set by the party’s national leadership.
A stakeholder of the party told newsmen at the end of their meeting in Bauchi that the decision to shift the congress was informed by the late arrival of materials for the conduct of the event.
He said “It was not possible to conduct the congress on Saturday as earlier planned because of logistics problems encountered not only in Bauchi State but in many states across the country,’’
He said the committee to oversee the Congress had held a stakeholders meeting with all relevant party stake holders to ensure the success of the exercise.
A source from the committee said all required materials for the congress had arrived in the state and sale of nomination forms for various positions had commenced.
He said “anybody wishing to contest the election should purchase the forms at designated banks and all completed forms must be returned to the committee on Monday in order to conduct the congress onWednesday; we have commenced distributions of the forms to all who brought their banks’ teller around 1pm Sunday.”
