The Bauchi State Police Commissioner, Mohammed Ladan has warned criminals in the state to either repent or leave the state.
Mohammed stated this while answering question from newsmen in Bauchi, saying that the command is fully prepared to deal “decisively” with them in accordance with the laws of the federation.
He said, “We are working hard to confirm the story whether it is true there are criminals or not. For now, we have sent our surveillance to make any discovery if there is any but up till now we are still searching we are still looking for the criminals.”
According to him, the command is investigating the alleged presence of armed men inside bush in Darazo Local Government Area of the State.
The Commissioner said the command has put in place, crime preventive measures which include Aberdeen system patrol, surveillance on building and suspected individual, stop and search methods, engagement of the services of well screened and recognised voluntary vigilante groups as well as other operational strategies to destabilize the plans of criminals and their preparedness to commit crime in the state.
