The police in Kano yesterday arraigned a 20 years-old man before a senior magistrate court sitting in Nomans-Land over an alleged rape of a six year old girl.
First Information Report said Sadi Ahmed, a 20-years -old resident of mile Tara in Kadawa village within Ungogo Local Government area , committed the alleged crime on March 19, 2014 when he lured his
victim and forcefully had sexual intercourse with her on a tyre.
“On 22/2/2014 at about 2130 hours, one Inusa Nuhu male, resident of Mile Tara, Kadawa village in Ungogo Local Government Area , Kano , reported at Ungogo division, that on 19/3/2014 at about 2000 hours , you Sadi Ahmad, aged 20 years deceived and lured his daughter aged 6 years-old on top of a tyre and had sexual intercourse with her,” the charge sheet stated.
The accused person denied the allegation slammed against him before the court, police prosecutor, corporal Ibrahim Abdulrazak informed the court that the offence was capital in nature, adding that, the case file was ready for DPP advise, he told the court that it lacks jurisdiction to commence proceedings over the matter, he prayed the court to adjourn the matter to another date for mention.
The court presided over by senior magistrate Ummi Sani Kurawa adjourned the case to April, 29 for mention and ordered that the accused person be remanded in prison custody.
