Unknown gunmen yesterday attacked customs officers, killing two and injuring four, in Sade town in Darazo local government area, along Bauchi /Maiduguri road, in Bauchi state .

In their separate accounts, the officers said the hoodlums were attacked on their way from an official assignment in Gaidam, in Yobe state.
According to them, the hoodlums shot one Customs officer who died, and also set ablaze the other officer in the two Customs’ vehicles which were also burnt to ashes.
Commenting on the incident, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Nigeria Customs Service, Bauchi, Samuel Ja’afar Gulak, said the officers were in the hospital to see some victims. He said the Customs Service is investigating the incident and would give out the details in due course.
