The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, said yesterday that it has registered a total of 9,238,991 Nigerians under the ongoing continuous voter registration, CVR, exercise.
This was contained in an update provided yesterday by the Commission in Abuja.
The update released by the Chief Press Secretary, CPS, to the INEC Chairman, Mr Rotimi Oyekanmi, was as at Monday, 16th May 2022.
The update put the completed number of registration within the period at 5,845,751.
It indicated that the registration was done both physically and via online.
The number of those registered online stands at 2,584,548, while the number of those registered physically was put at 3,261,203.
While a total of 2,903,003 male were registered within the period under review, the number of female registered stood at 2,942,748.
The figure of people living with disability was 48,252.
The number of youths registered within the period is 4,045,520.
