The international community has lauded Director General of National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC), Otunba Olusegun Runsewe,for rebranding and contributing immensely to Arts and culture sector through economy growth of various arts and culture business in Nigeria.
They made the commendations during a diplomatic tour at the Arts and Craft village Market, recently in Abuja.
Speaking at the event , High Commissioner of Cameroon to Nigeria and Doyen of the Diplomatic Community in Abuja, His Excellency Salaheddine Ibrahim ,applauded the Director General for his consistency, saying he remained a blessing to the sector by showcasing the strengths of Nigeria culture and opening doors to the diplomatic community to tap into .
Ibrahim also stated that, NCAC under the Otunba Segun Runsewe has recorded wonderful achievements .
He appreciated the DG for the support and confidence he has in the diplomatic community .
Similarly, Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria, Yanko Yordanov, said the tour around the market had allowed the international community to know more about Nigeria’s crafts and cultures.
Earlier, The Director General (NCAC), Otunba Olusegun Runsewe, has assured to the diplomatic community that Nigeria is safe for business and tourism activities.
“ Nigeria is safe for Nigeria and the international community to exchange cultures of entertainment and business”.
According to him , the Art and Craft Market was reopened to give Nigerians the opportunity to showcase African cultures and crafts to the international community.
He acknowledged that the market used to be unsafe, but that criminals who made it unsafe had been gotten rid of.
Runsewe also called on Nigerians to use the market as a place where they could show their strength and cultures, as well as showcase them to the world.
Meanwhile,Goodwill messages from ambassadors of various countries including the United States, China, Bulgaria, Mexico, Jamaica.
Others are Spain, Cameroon, Cuba, and others countries.
