The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara has described the death of Alhaji Sule Katagum, the Waziri of Katagum as a monumental loss.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs, Turaki Hassan, the Speaker said Alhaji Katagum’s death came at a time his wisdom, charisma, benevolence, wealth of experience and esteem presence is most needed, especially in Katagum Emirate where a new Emir has just been appointed.
“ Nigeria has indeed lost a notable public servant and patriotic elder statesman who served his country with dignity and integrity.”
“His death will surely leave a huge vacuum that will be difficult to fill in many years to come”.
While condoling with the government and people of Bauchi State as well as Katagum Emirate, the Speaker prayed God to grant his soul eternal rest and the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
