Bauchi State Command of the Department of State Services DSS has expressed its resolve to partner with relevant professional bodies for effective information management.
The State Director, Alhaji Garba Shehu Shinkafi announced this when he received officials of the State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations on a courtesy visit in his office.
Shinkafi said the partnership became imperative in order to ensure effective services to humanity.
He said with the coming of democracy in Nigeria, Department of Security Services deemed it necessary to work in active synergy with NUJ and NIPR in particular to achieve the set objectives.
The State DSS Director described Nigerian Institute of Public Relations as strategic partners in the operation of the Services.
Shinkafi who promised to encourage his personnel with prerequisite qualification to register with the Institute for better performance, assured the chapter that his doors will remain open doors for further consultations and partnership.
Leader of the delegation and state chairman of the Institute, Alhaji Ali Kobi informed the DSS director that the visit is to strengthen the cordial relationship that exist between the two organizations.
He said NIPR has mandated to monitor and regulate the practice of Public Relations in the country.
Kobi implored the state director to encourage its staff with prerequisite qualification to register with the Institute for effective information management.
