As part of activities marking the Easter celebrations, the Dunamis International Gospel Centre in Kubwa, Abuja, had donated gift items to police detainnees, hospital patients and orphanage home.
Places visited by the church were Kubwa General Hospital, King’s Care Hospital, Unity Clinic and Maternity, Ark of Refuge Orphanage, Kubwa Divine Orphanage and suspects detained at Police Area Command, Abuja.
Items donated include Church’s monthly devotional books, toiletries, beverages, babies’ food, cartons of Indomie and other foodstuffs.
The Pastor of the Church, Michael Ajogba, said the essence of the gifts was to share the love of God with others especially the less privileged in the society, saying it is also part of the Church’s social responsibility to its host community.
According to the cleric, Easter is a season of good news as it symbolizes the seal of the price Jesus paid to redeem humanity from sin, making the resurrection of Jesus Christ the birth, foundation and pillar of Christianity.
He therefore prayed for the salvation and restoration of shattered destinies among the beneficiaries, and assured them that the Church will always put smiles on their faces.
Similarly, the Pastor who also led the congregation to offer prayers for the nation, enjoined Nigerians to renew their faith in God who is ready to forgive their sins and re-direct their destinies to His original purpose for their lives.
Ajogba however expressed confidence that Nigeria will overcome current security, political and economic challenges and become the reference point for democracy in Africa.
