Towards this end, the Forum, which setup a 10-Man committee to interface with presidential aspirants ahead of the primary, said that whatever the party decide on the issue consensus, they will abide.
The Chairman of the Forum and former Speaker, Gombe state House of Assembly, Hon. Inuwa Garba, stated these yesterday while addressing
journalists after a meeting in Abuja,

According to the Chairman of the Forum, “we have received submissions and interactions with most of the presidential aspirants and the Forum has decided to form this committee so that we can further check and see their capacity, credibility and make recommendation to larger general assembly of the Forum.”
He added that they decided to take a decision on behalf of “all of us on which candidate we can unanimously support, so that we can ensure successful conduct in the primaries and in the general election.

Commenting on the forum’s position on the issue of consensus, Garba said: “That is not part of our mandate. We are not a political party, PDP is a political party and they’ve set up a committee on this issue.
