The outgoing Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Gwagwalada Branch in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barr. Isah Abubakar Aliyu, has charged the newly elected executives of the Branch to work together for the overall development of the association.
Aliyu, who gave the charge in an interview with newsmen after the election of the new executives on Saturday at the High court of the Federal Capital Territory in Gwagwalada.
He urged the new executives to always support the Chairman of the Branch for the sake of togetherness in order to move the association forward.
While presenting his address at the annual general meeting of the association, Aliyu thanked the outgoing officials who gave him the necessary support and co-operation to pilot the affairs of the Eagle Bar for two years.
Also speaking, the newly elected Chairman of NBA in Gwagwalada, Barr. Ogunjide Emmanuel Tayo, said he would carry every member of the association along in the scheme of things.
Tayo, also said he would deem it necessary to operate a responsible Bar in order to put smiles on the faces of the members.
On his part, the new secretary of the Eagle Bar, Barr. Hassan Luqman Olayiwola, pointed out that he would discharge his official duties diligently.
Not left out, the Electoral Committee Chairman, Barr. Aliyu mohammed Ashara, described the conduct of the election as free, fair and credible.
Meanwhile, the newly elected officers of the Eagle Bar are: Ogunjide Emmanuel Tayo; Chairman, Onwubiko Barbara; Vice Chairman, Hassan Luqman Olayiwola; Secretary, Esther Irabor; Treasurer, Tessy Gwari; Financial Secretary and Eze Friday Osinachi; Social Secretary.
Other officials include Olusegun Richard Femi; Publicity Secretary, Oboh Christy Aigbumhe; Welfare Secretary and Zubairu Aliyu Yakubu; Provost among others.
