Association of Community Traditional Leaders, Idu (ACTLI) in Idu -Koro community has recently paid courtesy call on the indigenous
traditiinal ruler of the community, Chief Muhammad Bawa. The reason behind the courtesy call was to continue to promote peace and unity between the indigenes and residents in the community.
The association is made up of non indegenous traditiinal rulers of different tribes resident in the community
Chairman of the association and the traditional ruler of Hausa community, Chief Zakari Mohammed in a speech confirmed that the essence of the visit was to inform the community head that the non indegenous traditiinal rulers had formed a union with the sole aim to continue to promote unity and peaceful cohabitation in Idu-Koro.
Zakari Mohammed commended the community head as well as the indegenes and residents for peaceful cohabitation.
The Idu-Koro community leader in response commended them for cooperation and urged them to keep the pace at which they have been going. He said the community was known for peace and warned that he would not take it easy with anyone that plans trouble in the community.
The secretary cum spokesman of the association, the traditional ruler of Tiv community, Chief Fabian Liam spoke at length on the need to keep promoting peace and unity in the community.
Among the non indegenous traditiinal rulers at the courtesy call were: Chiefs Zakari Mohammed, Hausa community; Fabian Liam, Tiv community; Jonah Maigari, Mada community and; Raphael Buhari, Yoruba community.
Others were: Samuel Jatau, Bello Iyaku and Williams Afie of Kamanta, Fulani and Igon communities respectively.
