The new Director, Human Resource Management (HRM) of the Federal Capital Territory Administration, Malam Muhammad Bashir has resumed duties with a resounding declaration of intent to improve discipline in the system.
Malam Bashir noted that without discipline in an administrative setting there would not be a meaningful output.
He however expressed desire and determination to build on the successes of his predecessor, said he will lead by example in all areas.
According to him, “Discipline in the society is the key thing that must be strictly adhere to, especially by being firm and fair to all”.
“I am going to build on the successes of my predecessor, there will be constant meetings with relevant directors to asses issues that will add value to FCT Administration.
“No one is going to be spared, I can’t come here 12 noon and expect my subordinates to come 8.am. I can’t leave here before 4. Pm and expect the staff to be in the office till 4.pm, Charity begins at home.”
He equally stressed that quality leadership in an organisation brings about better results and must not be compromised in FCT.
The new HRM assured FCTA staff of open door and purposeful leadership that would transform outlook FCT Administration even their welfare.
Our correspondent reports that until his new position, Malam Bashir was the immediate past Director, FCT Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board.
He joined the services of FCTA in 1989 as a personel officer II (Training) with the then Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA).
