Women have been urged to come out enmass to participate in political activities, at the same contest for elective positions in Kaduna state.
A former aspirant into Kaduna state House of Assembly, Kajuru constituency, Mrs Precious Barnabas, made the assertion while speaking to the media in Kaduna yesterday.
Mrs Barnabas expressed dismay over lukewarm attitude of women to politics saying, as women, they understand politics better because politics started from the home.
She advised women not to be intimidated, rather come out with plans that will make them saleable to the electorate.
Mrs Barnabas who is from Maro ward in Kajuru Local Government Area, said as an Adara woman, she wants to serve her people who have invested so much on her education.
She lauded Governor El-Rufai for selecting a woman as his deputy, stressing that it is a wake up call for women to know that they are politically relevant. She thanked her husband, Pastor Barnabas Zakaria, for his support even though as a clergy he allowed her to participate in politics.
Speaking on the crises in Southern Kaduna, she said it is unfortunate that so many lives are being lost on daily basis, she however called for vigilance and prayerful as the attacks is the handiworks of the Devil.
She urged the people in Southern Kaduna to cooperate with the government and security agencies in their bid to proffer solutions to the killings.
