A female delegate, Ezenwa Ifeanyinwa, yesterday missed her steps and fell at the lobby of the National Judicial Institute, the venue of the National Conference moments before the afternoon session resumed.
The delegate, Mrs. Ifeanyinwa, one of the representatives of the Market Women Association, had just had lunch and was heading to the chamber when accident occurred even as many suspected that she may have serious health challenge.
Security operatives quickly rallied round her and assisted her to her feet and then took her to one of the ante rooms outside the plenary chamber before a medical personnel was called in to attend to her.
The situation, which attracted a sizable crowd, was brought under control. The helpful security operatives included members of the State Security Service (SSS) and the National Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), who had asked the few journalists at the venue to leave.
The delegate, who had earlier made her contributions to the speech of President Goodluck Jonathan, did not immediately return to the chamber after the incident.
