Contrary to speculation that Kaduna International Airport will be temporarily closed following the Sunday afternoon fire that razed down the control tower of the Airport, normal flight operations yesterday resumed following a makeshift arrangement by the aviation authorities.
This is coming at the heels of a proposed investigation into the cause of a fire outbreak by authorities of the aviation industry.
When this reporter visited the airport yesterday, aviation officials were seen putting heads together as they examined the rubble left by the fire incident.
Even though they declined comments on the state of damage, they however said the detailed report to the effect of damages and causes of the fire would be made available to the public in due course.
It is however gathered that, normal flight operations to and from the Kaduna airport has temporarily resumed.
Investigations reveals that navigation equipment has so far been brought in from the Abuja airport for support services, with a mobile control room is also to arrive any time from now to support the temporary flight.
As at the time of the visit, one flight, Aero Contractor successfully brought 71 passengers from Lagos and also conveyed another 76 Lagos bound passengers back safely.
