Former Chief Justice of the Federation son, Mr.Bem Kastina-Alu, who is also aspiring for the House of Representative, representing AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) yesterday, donated millions of naira to the Nyanya bomb blast victims, at Asokoro district.
Speaking to journalist after his donation to the victims, he said he received the news with shock while in London. He described the incidence as unfortunate and sad, saying that the victims are innocent Nigerians who were out to look for their daily bread. According to him, the country is passing through a very critical moments therefore needs prayers, he therefore called on the people to come together irrespective of tribe and religion in order to address the issues of security so as to live in peace and harmony.
Hon. Ben, also promised to assist the victims in the areas that government failed and as well take care of some of the miscellaneous bills.
Earlier, the Chief, Medical Consultant to the male surgical ward, Dr. Ongbabo Sunday, who took him round the victims’ ward, told journalists that most of the victims have been discharged except for those with critical conditions, saying that some with critical cases are still under the intensive care unit as well as those with several wounds and multiple bone fractures ,adding that only ten patients are waiting to be discharged from the first Nyanya blast, while those from the second blast are also fast recuperating and will soon be discharged.
