The Gombe state police command has decorated 158 police officers and men that were promoted from their former ranks to new rank.
Decorating the officers at the police officers mess in Gombe at the weekend, the state police commissioner Mr. Kudu Abdullahi Nma said the promotions were based on hard work and appealed to them to see their promotion as added responsibilities and leadership role.
He urged the newly promoted officers to appreciate the good gesture of the IGP through effective service delivery to the people of the state.
He said the promotion was aimed at encouraging them to do better in promoting national security and fighting crime in all its ramification.
