The people of Lapai and Azza community in Lapai local government of Niger state have applauded the Niger state governor Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu for the developmental strides in the community as evidence of the dividends of democracy provided by his administration in the state
This was made known when they paid a thank you and solidarity visit to the governor in government house Minna. Led by the Emir of Lapai Engineer Umar Bago 3rd and former minister of finance, Alhaji Ahmed Abubakar Muye, the community said that the present administration has embarked on several developmental projects that have impacted positively on the lives of an ordinary man in the community.
Abubakar their spokesman stated that the community would remain grateful to his government especially the erection and equipping of 110 bed ultra-modern hospital at Gulu, construction of 103 km standard road network from Lapai- Gulu- Muye and quick intervention during Fulani/ community crisis.
Governor Aliyu on his part assured the people of the community to be supportive of the developmental policies of his government as every community remains relevant and important to the actualization of the state’s vision.
Aliyu urged them to be vanguards of peace, maintain peaceful co-existence with other communities and security conscious at all times even as he called on them to be law abiding and supportive of government policies and programmes.
