The governor also said, the state government received 68,520 doses of the vaccines as first batch from the federal government. Speaking shortly after receiving the vaccines, governor Badaru said, the first batch doses will cover only one percent of the entire Jigawa state population equivalent to 35,000 people in the state. The governor who confirmed that, the vaccines is genuine and safer, vaccinated together with his commissioners at government house Dutse. He said, those to be vaccinated at first batch include himself, deputy governor, commissioners, health workers, religious and traditional leaders and other essential workers.
