The group of youth in Gombe State of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has the State Governor, Yahaya Inuwa lose the presidential election in the state due to the anti-party activities which he and other members of the party engaged in before the general election.
They said this during a stakeholders meeting held in Damaturu, to appraise the performance of the ruling party in both the Presidential, and the National Assembly election in the state.
The spokesperson of the group,Salisu Abdulrazaq in a statement issued and shared with Journalists in Abuja yesterday said the APC leadership are frowning at the behaviors of Gov Inuwa Yahaya because of how he played double standards in his own polling units.
According to the statement,”,Inuwa supported Atiku Abubakar which make us people think that Governor inuwa yahaya plays doubles standard by secretly supporting PDP Presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar Waziri Adamawa on which Bola Tinubu caucus started sensing some sinister moments with the Governor inuwa yahaya lost his polling unit to Atiku Abubakar.
The statement partly read:”After some weeks during the Governorship elections inuwa yahaya came out in full force to win his own elections, which showed that Governor Inuwa played double role during Presidential election.If you lose your polling unit as a sitting Governor to opposition,it meaning you are playing Anti-Party.
“If there is anybody that should be expelled from the party,it should be no other person than Governor Yahaya Inuwa.
“During the presidential election, Senator Goje worked out of his life to make sure All Progressive Congress (APC) succeeded both at the state and the federal level.We don’t want mind games here.
“Senator Goje won his Senatorial seat without even going out to campaign all the people in Gombe state knew that Sen Goje won his zone without campaigning its beat the imagination of the Apc national leadership to questions and debunked the kangaroo an illegal way of how Governor Inuwa yahaya orchestrated the announcement of expelling Senator Goje from APC.
“But to God be the glory, APC national leadership waived that because Danjuma Goje is among the first and recognised Apc stakeholders in Nigeria.
“APC cannot in any way accept or succumb to local primitive innuendos by some charlatans”, the statement said .
