A group under the auspices of Christian Solidarity Worldwide Nigeria (CSWN), has called for the prosecution of the purported husbands of two students of the Government Girls Secondary School in Chibok, Borno state who surrendered with them recently.
In a statement signed by the Research and Press Officer of CSWN Reuben Buhari, and made available to the media in Kaduna yesterday, the group stated that the girls Ruth Ngladar Pogu and Hassana Adamu were forcefully abducted from their school when they were preparing to write an exam.
The statement added that after being taken away from their families, friends, and society, they were forcefully and unlawfully given off to terrorists who were part of those who denied them their rights to education in the first place.
CSWN further stated that while they are happy that the two girls were reunited with their parents, it has, however, become a great concern to them on the careless use of the terminology – ‘husband’, in describing those that forced themselves on these girls and eventually sired children with them.
