A group, Buhari Friends Organisation Network has called on Nigerians to vote for General Muhammadu Buhari in the 2015 general elections.
The in a statement issued yesterday signed by its National Coordinator, Saint Athanasius Okon said its earlier call to the delegates few days to the convention was successful. It therefore said it is making the same appeal to the Nigerian voters to vote for Buhari in the general elections in 2015.
The group said the APC presidential candidate has a lot to offer for the country as he promised to make all the necessary sacrifices for the development of the country. It noted that the statement made by Buhari at the convention ground that he has more than money to offer Nigerians was indeed historic.
The group stressed that the money being given to the electorates by the politicians to buy their votes only enables them to steal when they get to the positions and break the promises they made to the electorates during their campaigns.
“With peculiar circumstances and challenges occasioned by the past and present selfish political rulers , we need leaders this time around, as we are tired of rulers that are selfish and heavily corrupt. We are tired of pseudo-politicians and pretenders that masquerades themselves in the corridors of power who claimed to be democrats. We are tired of those who see stealing of commonwealth to be different from official corruption,” the group stated.
It added that as it has earlier called on the delegates to do what is right in their choice of candidate for the party, they wanted Nigerians to also be mindful of the fact that the first step of having good governance is to elect good leaders without prompting through dubious last minute inducement during the election which will at the end jeorpardise their future.
“As we called on the APC National delegates to please do the needful and vote for the right person to be our symbol for the necessary change, which they graciously obliged us, today we are now extending same request to the collective Nigerian electorates of not less than 70 million to please buy into the campaign for positive change,” it said.
