Members of the Hausa community resident in Akwanga local government area of Nasarawa state have paid a solidarity visit to Governor Umaru Tanko Al-makura.
Led by the Sarkin Hausawa in the area, Alhaji Muazu Jibril Abdulmumini, the Hausa community was at the Lafia Government House yesterday, to declare support for the All Progressive Change (APC), administration.
Addressing journalists shortly after holding a closed door session with Governor Al-makura, Muazu Jibril said “we are also in Lafia to show solidarity with the present administration and to commend the Governor for his developmental strides”.
He added that the entire Hausa community in Akwanga has thrown their support behind the Governor.
The Sarkin Hausawa of Akwanga, equally said they were at the Government House to also condole with the government and people of the state over the Alakyo incident that led to the death of 74 security personnel, as well as other crises that affected parts of the state, particularly, skirmishes involving Fulani herdsmen and Tiv farmers.
