Members of the Igbos nationality under the aegis of Ndigbo Cultural Society of Nigeria(NCSN) yesterday lauded President Goodluck Jonathan over the commissioning of the 2nd Niger Bridge.
In a statement issued in Lagos by its President, Chief Udo Udeogaranya, the NCSN expressed profoundngratitude to the President.
The group noted that the 2nd Niger Bridge, when completed, would help advance robust economic activities in Igboland by facilitating easy access into the region.
“With this commissioning of the 2nd Niger Bridge and for achieving this milestone, Jonathan has proven an uncommon leadership quality of matching his promises with actions.
“The President has also redefined himself as a man with exceptional integrity, striding on
golden characters of dedication, devotion, allegiance, loyalty and total commitment to public service and a believer in “A promise made is a promise fulfilled,” the Ndigbo group stated.
It reiterated the group’s continued gratitude to President Goodluck Jonathan over the rare appointments to Ndigbo,
“Removal of bans on goods and commodities Ndigbo trade on; giving interrnational status to Enugu Airport; Anambra oil producing state status; rehabilitation of Lagos-Onitsha highways and several other projects of which no other Nigerian Presidents in the past had ever done will not be forgotten,” it further stated.
The NCSN however assured the President of its support in the 2015 elections should he decide to run.
