From Femi Oyelola, Kaduna
The current insecurity challenges bedeviling the northern parts of the country has been described as the major causes of slow industrialization of the northern states.
The Northern Depot manager of Primasidor, Malam Ahmed Umar, disclosed this while speaking to the media in Kaduna yesterday.
According to Malam Umar, contrary to general belief that the north does not have sufficient manpower needed for industrial revolution in the region, north has both skill and unskilled manpower, land, capital
and power to turn the region to industrial haven.
Malam Umar cited the case of his company, which was established in 1993 in the south west of the country, and has 43 depots in the country, even as their products are certified. He therefore called on
those on authority to have the will power to restore peace and security back to the region.
The depot manager also disclosed in line with proper demand, his company has embarked on the production of cube size onga seasoning which will make the product easier for consumers.
“I am also pleased to inform the gentlemen of the media that we are an organization that is driven towards the maximum satisfaction of consumers and we always work in that direction.
“We do not only produce products to satisfy our consumers, but as part of our Cooperate Social Responsibility, we are also giving out scholarship to students who excel in the NECO and JAMB examinations.
The list is being scrutinized by the board and final beneficiaries will be announced soon.’ He said.
