The newly elected chairman of Nigeria Institute of Building [NIOB], Bldr. Ibrhaim Umar has yesterday made a passionate appealed to the Kebbi State Government to include or register one of their member in her procurement process team [Due Process] as its contain in National
Building Code, Procurement Acts 2007 of Nigeria. He made this appeal yesterday while fielding questions from newsmen shortly after the inauguration of the new Exco at the Umar Waziri Federal Polytechnic Hall adding that the association is one of the recognition bodies in the country and there is need to be included in any of the government procurement process as it was stated.
He said that for the past 23 years the association has always been on caretaker until now that they were able elected the new executive who would serve for the period of 2 years effect from 2014 to 2016. Umar thanks the state government for all the financial supports given through the Executive Governor Alhaji Saidu Dakingari, and also the Rector Wazirir Umar Federal Polytechnic Birnin Kebbi, Arch. Sani Aliyu during just concluded MCDP held recently at Gusau. He then assured its people that his administration is going to operate an open door policy and promised to deliver according to their constitutionals right.
