The Governor of Plateau State, Barrister Lalong has expressed deep sadness over the demise of General John Nanzip Shagaya who died as a result of a fatal motor accident which occurred on Sunday, on his way back from his home town Langtang to Jos.
Governor Lalong made his condolence yesterday in statement signed by his Director of Press and Public Affairs, Emmanuel Nanle, describing the death as a painful reality that the state would live to contend with.
He said, “ the vacuum it has created in the top Advisory echelon will rub the State and Nation of the wealth of his experience garnered over the years of his meritorious Professional Military, Public Service and Business career.
“The Governor in this moment of deep grief surrounding the Shagaya’s family, the Taroh Nation and the many friends and Associates of the Late General, wishes to extend his deepest condolences and assurances of prayers for God’s comforting grace, on behalf of his family, the Government and good people of Plateau State, praying that may the soul of the Distinguished Senator, rest in perfect peace with the Lord Almighty, “ it added.
