The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Sen. Bala Mohammed has lauded the chairman of the FCT Football Association (FA) Alhaji Musa Talle for organising the just concluded Federation Cup in the territory without fund to the association.
The minister who was represented by the FCT director of sports council, Alem Musa who disclosed yesterday at the final match between FC Abuja and FRSC FC in Abuja, said the association has done well in aspect of organising, coordinating, officiating and entertaining of guest without a penning from the FCT administration.
“I really appreciated the FCT FA for what they did without a subvention from the FCDA because budget has not been released. We are going to support them adequately but preliminary at the zonal level.
“We want them to write us so that we will know on which angle to help, the assistance will base on the letter to us,” he said.
He advised the teams to put finishing touches on the players to ensure they succeed at the national because only well prepare teams advance to final at Confederation Cup.
Speaking earlier, the chairman of the FCT FA Alhaji Talle Musa promised to write the letter as soon as possible to ensure all the necessary arrangement for the two teams to excel are put in place because the association will work round the clock to ensure the teams succeed.
He promised to assist the clubs with technical input and other logistic for the interest of FCT and the teams and called on their managements to supports the teams to the latter.
Peoples Daily Sports gathered that state finals were played yesterday across the federation, while the play-off matches will be play on14th and 15th May. The draw for the National finals will hold in Abuja on 29th May.
