A mobile policeman identified as, Corporal Tanko Usman has allegedly committed suicide along Eastern Bye-pass in an uncompleted building by shooting himself with his service rifle in Minna, the Nigerstate capital.
Tanko Usman, attached to Squadron 12 Police Mobile Force while returning from his duty post at one of the second generation banks over the weekend, parked his motorcycle by the road, trekked into the uncompleted building and shot himself .
An eye witness said the Police Corporal who was in his 30s was seen entering the uncompleted building and gun shot was heard about five minutes later thereby, attracting the attentions of residents.
Residents of M.I Wushishi housing estate immediately notified the police who came to evacuate the body.
Niger State Police Command PPRO, Mr Richard Adamu Oguche who confirmed the incident said that, the commander visited the area, evacuated the body and has deposited it at IBB specialist Hospital Mortuary in Minna.
