The Nigeria Bar Association, (NBA), (Abuja branch) and the Nigeria Investment Promotion Council, NIPC are to collaborate to sensitise the legal community on ongoing reforms in Nigeria’s legal framework for investments.
This is with particular focus on the review of key investment legislation and reforms of Nigeria’s International Investment Agreements regime, which NIPC has been championing.
It was agreed during the courtesy visit that they would also partner on openness in government and transparency programs.
To strengthen the partnership, the Nigerian Bar Association on Wednesday, conferred an award on the Executive Secretary/CEO, Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission, Ms Yewande Sadiku while on a working visit to explore areas of collaboration.
The award which was presented by the Chairman NBA, Abuja, Barrister Folarin Aluko described Ms Sadiku as a “Career Development Champion” due to her professionalism, selfless public service and support to the Young Lawyer’s Internship Scheme of the NBA, Abuja.
