The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Niger State has lambasted the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state over the opposition party’s persistent criticism of the Governor Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu-led PDP government, describing the party as indolent and frustrated.
The party described the allegation of non performance leveled against the current administration as false and urged the people of the state to disregard it.
PDP State Publicity Secretary, Hon Hassan Mohammed Saba, in a release issued yesterday in Minna stated that time has come for the opposition APC to be told to their faces that the party would not sit back and watch them rubbish the Dr Aliyu led PDP Government.
Saba said the opposition has run out of ideas and has resorted to blackmailing the ruling party in order to score cheap political points and give the impression that things are not working.
“It has become very clear to us that the APC has run out of ideas and has resorted to throwing barbs at the ruling party all in an attempt to score cheap points and heat up the polity.”
But whether APC likes it or not, the Dr Aliyu-led PDP government has done more than any previous government in the state.” He emphasized that there are landmark achievements of the current administration that are evident for everyone to see,” according to the statement.
The PDP spokesman cautioned APC against blackmailing the government and advised the opposition to go to the people and market the manifesto of its party.
