Nigerian goods are among the numerous African finished products being eagerly sought for, at every China trade exhibition and fair.
The National President, Nigeria Entrepreneurs Forum (NEF), Dr. Sidney Inegbedion, who disclosed this in a chat with Peoples Daily yesterday, further said that due to the high desire for and recognition usually accorded Nigeria-made goods at China trade exhibitions and fairs, by the Chinese and other participants, companies and members of the Chinese business class have shown willingness to do business in Nigeria.
According to him, NEF would be hosting a five-member delegation from China’s CCPIT Yunnan Sub-Council in March 14, for the promotion of trade between Nigeria and China.
He also said members of the delegation to be led by the head of exhibition department, CCPIT Yunnan Sub-Council, Mr. Mu Jiansheng, would include Mr. Wang Fan, deputy director of China Import and Export Fair, Kunming Office; and Mr. Wang Kailiang, chairman of CCPIT Yunnan Sub-Council.
Besides, Inegbedion stated that the august delegation would use the opportunity to invite members of the Nigerian business class to The 2nd China-South Asia Expo and The 22nd China Import and Export Fair, Kunming, scheduled from June 6 to June 10, this year, where over 40 countries were being expected.
The NEF president further stated, “NEF is the host of the delegation to Nigeria. NEF’s interest is in harnessing of export opportunities to the province, which is the economic hub of South-West China region, that is well known for the importation of Nigeria-made goods.
“Second, NEF believes that this relationship between it and the China Council for the promotion of international trade would facilitate market entry for Nigerian entrepreneurs, desiring to take advantage of the huge Chinese market.”
According to him, NEF would be leading a reciprocal visit to Kunming Yunnan, China, to participate at the 2nd China-South Asia Expo and the 22nd China Import and Export Fair in June.
He added that NEF hoped to maintain a Nigeria’s pavillion, expected to showcase Nigeria-made goods, minerals and raw materials, destined for Chinese market.
