The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has Mobilize critical stakeholders for effective implementation of the Nigeria starup Act(NSA) in Adamawa state.
An official of the Agency,Olawunmi Oladejo disclosed the development in Yola Wednesday while paying a courtesy call on Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri stressing that relevant stakeholders within the tech ecosystem have been engaged to discuss the implementation and effectiveness of the Act( Nigeria Startup Act (NSA).
The Nigeria Startup Act project is a joint initiative by Nigeria’s tech startup ecosystem and the Presidency to harness the potential of the digital economy through co-created regulations.
Mr.Oladejo and leader of the team from NITDA told the Governor that, the meeting in Yola brought ICT stakeholders to discuss the nation’s startup ecosystem towards the sustainability of a digitally transformed nation.
Oladejo added that NITDA has realised that the people in many states in the country do not have the requisite knowledge on the NSA established in 2022 hence organising such engagements to educate them.
He added that the engagement will also create a practical framework to promote innovation, entrepreneurship and showcased the efforts put in place by NITDA to ensure the country remains steadfast in digital economy.
According to him,at the end of the engagement, a technical working group will be set up which will made up of stakeholders involved in ICT and NITDA officials to fastract digital economic transformation across Adamawa.
He commended Governor Umaru Fintiri for his effort so far in supporting the drive for digital transformation in Adamawa, making the state a front runner in that regard, and assured continued partnership of NITDA in the sector.
