The Nigeria Labour Congress Kaduna State Council has vowed to resist any attempt to Encroach on its Kaduna landed property
The state Chairman of the Congress, Comrade Ayuba Magaji Suleiman stated this when he led members of the Congress on a peaceful protest over encroachment on the secretariat along Independence Way Kaduna.
Comrade Ayuba said the former senator who represented Kaduna North in the Upper Chamber Suleiman Hunkuyi brought the property through what he discribed as’Back Door’ and the union will do everything to reclaim the land.
‘’All we know is that this property is the legitimate possession of the Nigeria Labour Congress.
“We are not ready to give any portion of it to anybody. If you want to build, go elsewhere and do that but this very property is not for sale. It remains the possession of NLC,’’ he said.
According to him, the land was given to Kaduna Council of NLC by Tanko Ayuba when he was the military administrator of the state.
‘’We are not going to fold our hands and see trespassers and intruders on our property.
“We are saying ‘no’ to that. We would not allow the rich and big people to take our land.
“On behalf of Kaduna State workers, we are going to stay here and defend their rights and property,’’he stressed.
