Ocean Blues Entertainment has said it would take valentine celebration a step further by reaching out to the less-privileged in the society.
This it said would be done by instituting an ‘ambassador’ who will take the gospel of love and unity to Nigerians across the country.
Ocean Blues said the Miss Valentine Ambassodor ‘s grand finale was scheduled for May 22, 2014 in Abuja and would be contested for in the four geo-political zones of the country.
It said the zonal winners would be called ‘Her Royal Majesty, an ambassador of culture and love’ for the region, and the overall winner would be called ‘Her Royal Majesty (Ambassador 1)’.
She is also expected to reign for one year with a car and a well-equipped office in the heart of Abuja.
Speaking, the General Manager of Ocean Blues Entertainment, Uju Udenwa said, “Miss Val International is a brainchild of Ocean blues Entertainment. It is not just pageantry. It is to extend arms of charity to the less-privileged. People think Val is all about erotic love. It goes further than that. Ocean Blues deems it fit to look at the fact that we cannot do without love. Look at the situation we are now in Nigeria, because we lack love that is why we could have Boko Haram, kidnapping and all that.
We intend reaching the whole 36 states. For the pageant, in the next two days now, our forms will go on air. We have made contacts to some of the banks like Diamond, First Bank and some of our supporters.
In all the states, the contestants will pick up the forms and go for auditions. And if they are qualified, we will be expecting two from every geo-political zone to come to Abuja for the grand finale.
And at the end of the day, the Ambassador of love will emerge. She will run an office for a whole year” she said.
On the academic qualifications of the contestants, the General Manager said that the minimum academic qualification will be school certificate. Also, other criteria will be considered.
