It was gathered that the panic mood was triggered off by the news of the council secretary, Mrs. Abisola Ramat Abdullahi, who was confirmed to have tested positive for the dreaded COVID-19 early this week. In a subtle way to calm down the situation, the Executive Chairman of AMAC, Abdullahi Adamu Candido, called on other members of staff in the Council who have had close contact with the Council Secretary, to go for COVID-19 testing. Candido made this call, when he led his cabinet members Tuesday morning to undergo COVID-19 test, according to a statement issued yesterday by the AMAC Head of Information Unit, Patience Olaloye. The AMAC Chairman has directed all the cabinet members and staff of the Council Secretary to go for self isolation while waiting for their test results. He however, noted COVID-19 is not a death sentence, if everyone maintain healthy lifestyle and respect all the established safety protocols. He called on residents of the Council to submit themselves to Covid19 testing, for their safety and that of their loved ones. He reiterated that all established COVID-19 protocols would be strictly observed in the Council, immediately the test results are out.READ MORE Ramadan: AMAC Chairman implores Muslims to pray for peace, unity Peoples Daily Share This Previous ArticleCancel culture: What unites young people against Obama and Trump Next ArticleCOVID-19 violation: FCT Mobile Court seals nightclubs in Maitama, Wuse July 9, 2020
