The Buhari Campaign Organization (BCO) on Wednesday, accused the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for politicising and instigating accounts of rising security challenges in the country.
In a statement personally signed by its National Coordinator, Alhaji Danladi Pasali, and made available to newsmen Wednesday in Jos, the BCO said “killing of innocent persons and destructions of properties in some parts of Borno State by Boko Haram is unfortunate, devilish and condemnable”.
Pasali further disclosed that “the conspicuous conspiracy of some desperate politicians to frame and politicise the issue in the interest of demeaning the image of the Buhari’s administration or the President’s earned reputation is irritating”.
He said, “booing of President Buhari’s convoy by some nonchalant youth yesterday in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital was succinctly a politically sponsored gymics by the PDP”, who according to him, had earliest predisposition of the President arrangements to visit the State to commiserate them over the unfortunate incident of recurring dreadful attacks in recent weeks.
He challenged the PDP for positioning gang of hoodlums along Ramat Polytechnic to cause distraction on the President’s visit, noting that the party’s inability to judiciously utilized the common wealth of Nigerians in fighting insurgency was the remote cause of the terror.
The BCO cited Governor Zulum as saying “I am so surprised that our people have forgotten the immediate past, where about 20 LGAs under the control of the insurgents were regained”.
Pasali said patriotic Nigerians have no pleasure to derive from the boo unless for corrupt minded citizens.
The PDP should understand that most Nigerians will not toe their path in politicising security issues which is a greatest dishonor and unpatriotic”, the statement added.
