National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Ahmed Adamu Muazu, recently reaffirmed his party’s commitment to recapture the five states which their governors dumped the party for the opposition APC.
Muazu stated this while talking to newsmen in Dutse shortly after his close door meeting with the PDP governors forum in Dutse Jigawa state recently. He said the “Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would recapture Kano, Rivers, Sokoto, Adamawa and Kwara states without any serious challenge”.
He added that other states the party lost to the opposition party in the past would also be recaptured in the 2015 general elections.
He said, the party has confidence in wining Ekiti and Osun states in the up coming governorship election slated to hold later this year before we would finally clinch other states in 2015 general election.
Mu’azu also stated that PDP has made an outstanding performance in all its ruling states which is incomparable with what is happening in other states not under the rule of PDP governors.
According to him, “The kind of transformation and good governance exhibited by PDP governors in their respective states, including executing capital projects like state Universities, Airports as well as small projects and programs can only be found there, while other non PDP states have nothing to show in their states”.
He then called on Nigerians to consider what PDP has done across the country as a basis to re-elect the party at all levels in the forthcoming general election.
Mu’azu also commended the party members and leaders for the kind of maturity and tolerance they are exhibiting which paved way for the party to reconcile its aggrieved members and overcome the challenges militating against the party.
