Chairman, supporters club of Kano Pillars, Bashir Idris Muazu says they will mobilize hundreds of fans to Enugu for Saturday’s Nigeria Premier League game against Rangers International.
Pillars who were held in Kano to a 2-2 draw by Sunshine Stars last weekend aim for an impossible victory against Enugu Rangers in the Coal City.
Muazu confirmed that he and his executive members have concluded plans to canvass support for the team this weekend.
“We are hoping to storm Enugu en-masse with our supporters. We have plans to take about hundred fans to Enugu because this is a big match and our presence will be great advantage on Saturday,” Muazu said
Speaking on the last game against the Akure Gunners which saw Mohammed Gambo’s late equalizer preserve the Pyramid side’s 11th year unbeaten home record, Muazu insisted they were confident of not losing the game.
“It was a nerve-racking game and we had to cheer the team till the final whistle was blown. We never lost hope but remained confident the goal would come.
“Our supporters made a massive contribution on Sunday and that is why we need them in Enugu as we hope to get something from the game. Though it’s going to be tough but we believe our players will deliver,” he concluded.
