The staff of Yola Specialist Hospital yesterday disrupted Medical activities at the Hospital, protesting and demanding the sack of the Medical Director.
They accused the Medical Director of incompetence, causing gross maladministration.
They urged Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri to set up a panel of inquiry to investigate the way and manner the activities of the hospital are being managed by Dr.Wadinga, alleging that some staff have been made redundant due to bad leadership of the medical chief.
In a Swift reaction, the Medical Director described the protesters as unpatriotic elements milking the resources of the hospital before he introduced innovation that stopped their illegal activities.
He said his administration believes in accountability, disclosing that on weekly basis, over 6,000 patients’ were attended to.
He regretted that corruption is now fighting back as most of the protesters are junior staff who always cut corners, adding that his innovation no longer allow them.
