The Senator representing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in the National Assembly, Phillip Aduda has called for peaceful coexistence of residents of the territory during and after the Salah celebration, saying that it is only when there is peaceful coexistence among Nigerians, that is when the country can move to greater heights.
Aduda who made this call through his Special Adviser on Political Affairs, Abdulraman Mohammed while delivering his Salah message during the distribution of over 600 bags of rice and other food items to Muslim faithful in the six areas council of the FCT, further noted that the celebration reminded all the mortals that God wants existence of peace in mankind.
The lawmaker stressed that Prophet Ibrahim as always being called by Muslim faithful and Abraham by Christian signified oneness and unity of the two religions.
He therefore urged all Nigerians irrespective of their religions to always pray for peaceful coexistence, saying meaningful development could only be achieved in a peaceful environment.
“We are appealing to FCT residents and entire Nigerians to embrace peace during this Salah celebration, so that this country will continue to develop. Peace brings progress and development, that is why we are calling on all Muslims to emulate and practice the teachings of Prophet Muhammed which is basically on love and unity,” he said.
Aduda also urged them to continue to support the current administration led by President Muhammadu Buhari with prayers in its quest to take the country to the promised land.
Speaking during the distribution , Sen, Aduda coordinator in Abuja Municipal Area council, (AMAC), Hon Dantani Zadna, call on FCT resident to remain steadfast for their support for Sen, Aduda, according to him Aduda is one of the best FCT has produce, promise to make the distribution open and transparent so that people that support to benefit from it get it at the right time.
However one of the beneficiary of the senator’s largesse, Hajia Aishatu Usman, express appreciation for Senator Aduda gesture, according to her, every year and season Aduda always remembers us and pray God to bless him more..
