The traditional Head of butchers (SarkinPawa) in the FCT, Alhaji Usman Datti, has called on the FCT Administration to focus on the development of the international livestock market located at Dei-dei in Bwari Area Council.
Datti, who made the call in an interview with Peoples Daily at the livestock market in Dei-dei, also urged the FCT Agriculture Secretariat to carry the butchers along in the scheme of things in the territory.
He called on the FCT Administration to deem it necessary to provide boreholes in the market, so as to boost potable drinking water to make life lovely for the butchers.
He further urged the FCT Administration to repair the dilapidated roads to enable the motorists to have access to the market easily.
He said that his leadership would continue to partner with the FCT Administration for the overall development of the market, and urged the officials to join hands with him for the betterment of the market. Sarkin Pawa, however, advised the traditional how heads of butchers across the six area councils to respect the constituted authorities in their respective councils.
While speaking on the state of social amenities in Dei-dei, Datti appealed to the Chairman of Bwari Area Council to provide the needed facilities in the area.
