An Islamic scholar based in Dakwa Community in Bwari Area Council of the FCT, Mallam Mohammed Alkwandawi, has urged the Chairman of the area council, Hon. Peter Yohanna to provide infrastructural facilities for the residents to move the community to higher heights.
Alkwandawi, who stated this while speaking with Peoples Daily, in Dakwa, said that in despite the persistent appeals to the administration to provide basic amenities in the area; nothing had been done to put smiles on the faces of the masses.
He urged the Chairman to build a befitting hospital in the community, so as to curb the residents from travelling out for medical attention.
He further called on the Chairman to rehabilitate the dilapidated roads in the village to enable the motorists to move freely in the area.
He solicited the co-operation of the council Chairman as well as FCT Administration to join hands to build Primary and Secondary Schools in the community to encourage the children to enroll in school.
The clergyman said that he had embarked on the self-help projects in the area, which included the building of Nursery/Primary School, construction of boreholes and building of a Hospital among others in the area when the government had failed to do so.
On the security, He appealed to both Muslims and Christians alike to pray for the security challenges facing the nation.
